The fourth album by Englishman Matt Karmil, relocated to Cologne. The producer, about whom we know very little, except that he is very close to the Kompakt team. Molding house with extremely filtered bass, the music Matt Karmil offers on his new album is grainy and muffled. While restrained, each sound is nonetheless crafted and enveloped for a result that is highly poetic, placing the listener in a state of joyful lethargy. Without seeming lazy or unstable for a second, Karmil's music is a nonchalant house that appeals with its lyricism and harmlessness. The influence of Voigt, for example, becomes evident, without being a plagiarism. Available on CD and LP.
