In the second half of the 1990s, the then-bustling music scene in Bristol saw the emergence of The Third Eye Foundation, a project revolving between drum'n'bass and ambient led by a certain Matt Elliott. Dark and adventurous, albums such as 'Ghost' (1997) and 'You Guys Kill Me' (1998) remain major milestones of the electronics of that period. Everything then encourages Matt Elliott to continue in this direction. However, in the early 2000s, he will choose to take a tangent in his life as well as in his music. Leaving his native England, he settles in France, first in the Périgueux region. « I don't have any patriotic feelings at all, explains Matt Elliott.
