Chris Goss is one of American music's elusive geniuses. As a producer, he has made albums with Kyuss, Nebula, Queens Of The Stone Age and Mark Lanegan. He has also recorded with the Foo Fighters. But here, he's appearing as the singer, guitarist and driving force behind Masters Of Reality. He has spent over 40 years forging his own musical path, moving from mystical blues to desert rock. Since the turn of the 21st century, Goss has alternated his production work with his own Masters Of Reality productions. Three more studio albums were produced under the Masters Of Reality name: "Deep In The Hole" in 2001, "Give Us Barabbas" in 2004 and "Pine/Cross Dover" in 2009. Each of these was a self-contained musical universe, reaffirming Masters Of Reality's position as a band on the fringe of the traditional music industry. Today, 15 years after their last album under that name, Chris Goss is finally back with Masters Of Reality for this new album "The Archer". Like everything they've released since their inception more than 40 years ago, it's a new step in a journey that has never stopped moving forward, never repeating itself or being influenced by external elements.
