Playing all the instruments himself, the folk-rock singer-songwriter Mason Jennings produced his self-titled debut album at home, on an analog tape recorder. Upon its release in 1997, the album was well received by critics, and his distinct vocal style was highlighted. He formed a band for a concert at the 400 Bar in Minneapolis, and this show turned into a weekly gig for 4 months. Twenty years later, Mason continues to make records and perform sold-out shows across the country. The album is available for the first time on vinyl from Bar/None Records.
