Le Très Jazz Club has chosen to celebrate Japan with its first two releases. Japanese jazz is a regrettably well-kept secret, and it would be a shame to miss out on listening to Green Caterpillar by Masaru Imada Trio + 2. Led by Masaru Imada on Fender Rhodes, the album opens with 'A Green Caterpillar', an 11-minute track whose groove is reminiscent of Marc Moulin and his band Placebo.
