Demolition 9 is the ninth solo album by the pioneer of electronic music and member of the cult band Suicide, MARTIN REV. Featuring 34 fiercely different vignettes - of which only one reaches 3 minutes - MARTIN REV describes his album as an autobiographical work "seeking to achieve joy and the unattainable perfection of an artistic ideal. This album covers a lifetime of daydreams and states of mind, including fragments of the many passions Martin has accumulated throughout his career of almost half a century. From the experimentation with the violence of percussion to neo-classical dreams and other dark abstractions, Demolition 9 offers a journey that is anything but linear through the dreams and distractions of one of the most influential sonic iconoclasts of the 20th century.
