Martial Solal, 91 years old, legend of French jazz piano, and still playing! "The rule was to improvise about twenty pieces, rather short, inspired by a name or a few words written on 52 small squares of paper contained in a hat. I just had to close my eyes and draw these papers one by one that would serve as my starting point. The whole thing was recorded in one take, which may explain some repetitions and the sometimes unrestrained or thoughtless side... I played in the same way I would at home, in the morning, just to wander on the keyboard." Martial Solal Founded in 1975 and 1983, the labels JMS and CREAM RECORDS have always supported creative artists with an international profile.
