Marlango

Description

In 1998, until then known as an actress for Pedro Almodóvar or Bigas Luna, Leonor Watling and pianist and conductor Alejandro Pelayo laid the foundations for the musical project Marlango. The core of what would become their first album. In the winter of 2002, trumpeter Óscar Ybarra listened to the material and joined the project. Together, the three formed a first album that saw the light of day with Subterfuge, in February 2004. After a year of concerts in Spain, Portugal and Japan, Marlango received a gold album from Pedro Almodóvar for the first 50,000 copies sold. Fifteen years later, a reissue of Marlango's debut on double vinyl for the great pleasure of fans and new listeners who wish to approach this superb album. An album, Marlango, which retains the elegance and freshness of the first day thanks to the charismatic voice of Leonor Watling and the exquisite sound production that accompanies it.
