Comprising some of the greatest trumpeters, improvisers, and composers today, Markus Stockhausen has often explored the links between jazz, classical music, contemporary music, and electronic experimentation in search of new possibilities for expression. This album, named after the group he forms with his six musicians, is a live recording at the Johanneskirche church in Düsseldorf in September 2017. On this record, in addition to Markus Stockhausen (trumpet/bugle), are the musicians Rabih Lahoud (voice), Tara Bouman (clarinet), Alireza Mortazavi (santour), Hindol Deb (sitar), Jarry Singla (piano), and Bodek Janke (Drums). An eternal journey to distant lands, a masterful blend of jazz, European music, and influences drawn from World Music.
