Inspired by a reflection from Joseph Campbell on the present moment, this album navigates between spectral, melodic, and organic, exploring music as a timeless experience. In the vein of Aphex Twin, Autechre, or Boards of Canada, Van Hoen offers a rich soundscape shaped by decades of experimentation, analog equipment, collaborations (Rachel Goswell, Megan Mitchell, Clare Dove…), and nomadic recordings around the world.
