Houston publishing demos 2002

Description

Mark Lanegan first became famous in the 1990s with his band The Screaming Trees. Like other benchmark artists, he forged his own artistic identity as a singer and songwriter. Shaped by the blues, he nevertheless shows a real desire to transpose his poetic sensibility from hard rock to electro. The recording of the tracks on Houston (Publishing Demos 2002) dates back to the time when The Screaming Trees had just split up and Lanegan was beginning a solo career. These tracks were therefore set aside until today, with the release on the Ipecac label of a collection of 12 tracks from old recordings.
