On August 10, 2004, Mark Lanegan released "Bubblegum." Composed alongside PJ Harvey, Josh Homme and Nick Oliveri from Queens of the Stone Age, and Greg Dulli from The Afghan Whigs, "Bubblegum" is Mark Lanegan's biggest success, notably reaching 39th place on the Billboard Independent Albums chart. Much like the tormented rock of "Amphetamine Blues," these fifteen tracks immerse us in a melancholic universe so dark it becomes romantic. Released twenty years ago, this album testifies to Mark Lanegan's talent and artistic depth. To celebrate the anniversary of its release, Beggars Arkive is reissuing the album in a remastered 2LP edition, as well as a 3CD edition and a special 4LP box set featuring over 40 tracks, including 12 unreleased ones.
