Mark Jenkin, director, editor, screenwriter, director of photography, and BAFTA award-winning musician, presents the soundtrack of his new film, Rose of Nevada, on Invada Records. Unique among British filmmakers for his analog approach to filmmaking and for his multiple roles as screenwriter, director, director of photography, and editor, he once again handles the sound design and composition of the original score. This new composition reflects the techniques used in the film, with analog synthesizers immersing the listener in hypnotic and ethereal sounds, and delicate movements. Composed, produced, recorded, and performed by Mark Jenkin using synthesizers, guitars, percussion, and effects, the soundtrack, thanks to its ambient recordings, evokes the context of its creation. Oscillating between the calm of the seas and the fury of storms, it asserts itself as a powerful and autonomous work. The physical release of the soundtrack follows the third feature film of the Cornish director: Rose of Nevada, a science fiction film about time travel, released in the UK and Ireland on April 24, and then available on Blu-ray and on BFI Player during the summer. The album is pressed on yellow vinyl and includes a double-sided insert measuring 30 x 30 cm.
