Mario Canonge and Michel Zenino love to challenge each other, and their first album Quint'Up released in 2017 was not their first attempt. Shortly after their meeting, they sought to exploit their natural telepathic connection and took the risk in 2008 of setting up their duo appointment, around jazz standards, at 7:30 PM, a time when jazz clubs were still dormant at that time. Four years later with Quint'up II, they established the group for the long term with a title that will inevitably call for a sequel. An album that attests that over the course of the concerts, the artistic connection that unites Mario and Michel has given rise to a music that is the sum of the musical identity of both artists. This fusion spirit, they have communicated, and the five musicians have become an entity that carries the audience as well as the listener, from the very first notes, into a torrent of energy and raw strength.
