La nuit qui vient sera belle

Description

The legendary Marie France returns with "La nuit qui vient sera belle," a brand new album recorded under the guidance of Jacques Duvall and Léonard Lasry.
"Jackie Shane," the first single with vintage disco accents, pays tribute to Jackie Shane, a transgender pioneer of American soul music. Marie France, 4 years after her previous album "Tendre Assassine," which highlighted her taste for more traditional French song, somewhere between Barbara and Jeanne Moreau, delivers a light, playful & decidedly pop album. Several times on disco rhythms, Marie France sings funny and sharp lyrics "Drôle de Dame," "Je te croyais mort." She also knows how to move us with tender ballads: the carpe diem song "Un de ces quatre" or the "pardon" song "Les compteurs à zero." Finally, she reunites with Alain Chamfort on the tender and philosophical duet "L'amour est innocent." For this event album, Marie France reunites with Pierre & Gilles, of whom she is the most photographed model over the last 40 years. The duo stages a timeless and ageless Marie France in a Parisian night setting.
