Hailing from the multicultural lands of New Caledonia, MARCUS GAD embodies a decidedly spiritual musical current, nestled between meditative roots and soul, driven by a unique singing technique close to liturgy. His message, nourished by a powerful musical trance, a stripped-down sound devoid of any artifice, invites travel and reflection. A cultural ambassador from an island lost in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, where nature and tribal customs are still magnificently preserved, MARCUS GAD reminds everyone of their primal essence in these times of crisis. More than music, his work invites you to live a disorienting sensory experience. Two years after his first album CHANTING, which he presented on over 100 dates across Europe, MARCUS GAD returns with a new 6-track EP born from a fruitful new collaboration with Parisian beatmaker TAMAL, who has followed him since his beginnings. ENTER A SPACE lives up to its name: enter a universe inhabited by textured, organic, and even aquatic sounds. While the foundation of this project is roots, here we savor it with hip-hop/soul influences on the single "RIVER," whose magnificent video was shot in India in the sacred city of Varanasi (release scheduled for January 2019), with Mandingue blues vibes on the track "LIVE UP TO THE DAY," where you can hear the sound of the N'Goni, or African sonorities like on "INNA NATURE" for a high-level collaboration with Burkinabe griot LOSSO KEITA.
