CONNECTION (vinyl)

Description

FREE, PUNK, FUNK, EXPERIMENTAL, PSYCHEDELIC, POST-ELECTRONIC. The guitarist, who has played with both Tom Waits and Marianne Faithfull, as well as John Zorn, Alain Bashung and Diana Krall, returns with his trio Ceramic Dog. With Connection, their fifth studio album, Marc Ribot’s Ceramic Dog have pushed to the breaking point the tension they have long maintained between traditional pop songwriting and avant-garde improvisational music, combining their usual agnostic approach with elements of glam boogie, minimalist disco, psychedelic boogaloo, garage-punk-against-the-machine agitprop, and much more. “The guitar legend releases an exceptional album.” --- Les InRocks ---. “A real musical knockout.” --- Jazz News ---.
