Description

For his new studio album 'Overpass', Marc Johnson draws inspiration once again from the theme 'Nardis' by Miles Davis and revisits this composition. It also features 'Love Theme from Spartacus' by Alex North (another theme immortalized by Bill Evans within his trio), 'Freedom Jazz Dance' by Eddie Harris as well as five original compositions of his own, including 'Samurai Fly', a reworking of 'Samurai Hee-Haw', which Marc has already recorded twice for ECM.
