Man Forever is an experimental percussion project led by John Colpitt (aka Kid Millions), one of New York's most in-demand drummers and a founding member of Oneida. Many musicians have participated in the project, but few have had what it takes to perform the creations of SoPercussion, America's leading contemporary percussion ensemble. Founded by Colpitt, the ensemble has commissioned and performed unreleased compositions by Steve Reich, and signed a revolutionary interpretation of John Cage's canon. Following a collaborative performance at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York in June 2013, So and Colpitt entered the studio and recorded Ryonen, two pieces that combine the precision and ingenuity of one and the punk spirit of the other. While Man Forever's previous records were inspired by the idea of an overwhelming confusion, Ryonen finds its strength in clarity and immediacy.
