Golden Days

Description

Mamas Gun are the masters of modern soul. Their blend of classic and contemporary influences has sparked millions of streams worldwide and garnered praise from the Sunday Times, Billboard, the Guardian, and Uncut Magazine. In total, the first three albums of the London-based group, Routes to Riches (2009), The Life and Soul (2011), and Cheap Hotel (2014), have produced hits that have reached the top 10 across four continents. Additionally, some singles have soared to the top of the charts in Japan and Hong Kong thanks to sold-out tours and fiery, funky performances at the Billboard Music Awards (Tokyo) and music festivals such as WOMAD, Greenroom, Java Jazz, and Pentaport. With the release of "Golden Days" in 2018, Mamas Gun delivers their most characteristic masterpiece of their identity. Golden Days represents the pinnacle of a musical journey spanning a decade that has contributed to the creation of 21st-century avant-garde soul, much like the Dap Kings, Charles Bradley, Lee Fields, and Mayer Hawthorne.
