Love, Tears And Gun

Description

After 20 years of a career celebrated in grand style at the end of 2017, the 7 seasoned musicians have worked tirelessly on the creation of their 7th album with the idea of evolving their work and resolutely looking towards the future. It is an ambitious challenge to modernize a genre like Soul music. Yet the band has managed to bounce back by opening their compositions to multiple influences such as funk, folk, and rock, working on a richness of arrangements and melodies that invite the listener to dive into a new story with each new track. Arnaud Fradin and his band had embarked on an initiative to connect with young songwriters as early as 2017 with the launch of their label Mojo Hand Records. Several of them, like Théo Lawrence and Thibault Ripault, will appear on the album. This album is a feat of original creations in a territory often traversed. While remaining attached to a color and sound textures that have been the thread running through the band since its beginnings, they approach the next 20 years with wonderful songs that could well remain in the memories for a long time. A French band capable of matching their American big brothers is rare enough to be noticed. In the love, tears, and violence that animate our world, this little soul blues funk bomb is set to explode the codes and, we hope, restore the place that this major music deserves among the general public.
