Maïa unveils her first album: "Je pleure aussi" (I Cry Too).
Driven by modern pop tinged with 70s influences, this album marks an essential step in the artist's journey: one of true vulnerability. For the first time, Maïa opens up all aspects of her personality to her audience, unfiltered, with sincerity and sensitivity.
Known for her positivity, her smile, and her lighthearted approach to life, the artist first discovered on Star Academy here reveals a more intimate side of her personality. Behind the luminous image also lie doubts, fears, and moments of fragility. However, the album never descends into darkness: each track ends on a note of hope, as if this assumed positivity is the engine that allows the artist, and those who listen, to pick themselves up and move forward.
For this first album, Maïa surrounded herself with the best. Jules Jaconelli produced most of the tracks, and well-known songwriters and composers (Igit, Alice et moi, Sylvain Duthu, Malo', Anne Coste, Tibz…) contributed. Each participated in sublimating the lyrics, melodies, and production. Joyful pop music, a touch of bossa nova, and strings that draw us in and carry us into a world full of sweetness, with influences from Salvadoran music to France Gall, Camélia Jordana, and even Emma Peters: this is the recipe for this personal debut album, in which the public is sure to find happiness!
