With 15 gold records and 3 platinum records to their credit since 1er Gaou in 2000, Magic System has established itself as the greatest contemporary African group. From "1er Gaou" to "Même pas fatigués," including "Bouger Bouger" and "Chérie Coco," Magic System consistently occupies the top of the charts. Their latest album "Africainement votre" has already sold over 90,000 albums. Each of the singles, from "Ambiance à l'Africaine" to "Chérie Coco," including 'Magic in the air,' has reached the top 5 of the charts, whether in airplay, digital single sales, or TV and web broadcasts, with several tens of millions of views on YouTube. Named "Radio Afrika," this new album is a tribute to the great classics of African music, those that have crossed continents, thus marking their universal dimension. The Magic have made adaptations of "Asimbonanga" by Johnny Clegg & Savuka, "E'mma" by Touré Kunda, "Madan" and "Nou pas bouger" by Salif Keita, "Sodade" by Cesaria Evora, and "Sweet Fanta Diallo" by Alpha Blondy, the first single extracted. The result is simply stunning!!! The arrangements and production have been revisited to offer a modern interpretation, embodied by the spirit of Magic System. While some original lyrics have been retained, most have been adapted into French with particular attention given to the message and musicality of the words and phrases in these new versions. The production was entrusted to Fred Savio and Felipe Saldivia; two accomplished musicians who have already worked for Soprano, Tiken Jah Fakoly, Christophe Maé, Orelsan, and many others.
