Madisen Ward And The Mama Bear

Skeleton crew

Description

Mother and son in life, Madisen and Ruth Ward are also the two main members of Madisen Ward and The Mama Bear, a moving folk outfit built around two guitars and two extraordinary voices. Their songs tell wild stories, and a few autobiographical truths, about life in the Midwest, where the duo comes from. Their new album, produced by Jim Abbiss (Arctic Monkeys, Adèle), is a clever blend of folk, rock and traditional music. The duo appeared on the Late Show with Letterman, and also performed at a private post-Grammys showcase, as well as at Third Man Records, Jack White’s label. Opening act for Sufjan Stevens, Le Grand Rex, Paris, 8/09
