Macie Stewart unveils her debut album, on CD and vinyl!
Mouth Full of Glass is the debut album from Chicago singer, songwriter, composer, and multi-instrumentalist Macie Stewart (She/They). Their story is one of finding solace and strength in solitude, where lush arrangements search for a sense of self, both in and out of partnership. Exploring loneliness, as well as the growth and beauty that comes from it, Macie's internal meditations re-evaluate their own relationships in a singular voice that could ring true for anyone.
"The best songs on Mouth Full of Glass feel alive. Fingerpicked guitars mimic falling rain while Stewart’s melodies wind across octaves like ivy, and string arrangements are as detailed as hand-stitched tapestries. Most striking is the near-title track, “Mouthful of Glass,” which recalls the decadent work of George Martin, notably the Yellow Submarine soundtrack’s “Sea of Time.”" - Pitchfork
