The German singer, multi-instrumentalist, and producer, M. Byrd, states about his upcoming album: "For me personally, it was somewhat of a healing process that I thought was worth sharing. Listening to the entire album reminded me that I was holding a seed in my hands. It felt like the beginning of something and symbolized birth in times of chaos. We decided that the album should be called nothing more and nothing less – The Seed. There is a lot of space between the notes," M. Byrd says about the overall sound and atmosphere of the album. "It's a mix of intimate moments and vast horizons. It draws inspiration from the sound of Laurel Canyon, but we have the big guitar and drums. The lyrics enrich the sonic experience with vivid imagery." The album concludes with the reflection "Wish I Was," offering an emotional farewell to a friend. "The song is dedicated to a friend who committed suicide," explains M. Byrd.
