Originally released in 2000 exclusively in CD format, the self-titled debut album by Lynx, an instrumental math-rock band from Boston, is now being reissued and available for the first time on vinyl thanks to the label Computer Students. This visionary record, a precursor to the math music of the new millennium, skillfully blends stripped-down, repetitive guitars with angular, minimalist drum patterns. This deluxe edition is enhanced by a second vinyl titled Human Speech, an EP of three unreleased tracks recorded in 2021 but composed over 20 years ago, the genesis of a second album that never came to fruition.
