Love Hates What You Become

Description

A transcendent new album for the Manchester duo Ebony Hoorn and Ellery James Roberts (ex-Wu Lyf). The Manchester duo, Ebony Hoorn and Ellery James Roberts, return after *Spiritual Songs For Lovers To Sing* with a new project, *Love Hate What You Become*. The band first wrote the album in Manchester, then in Los Angeles to record with producer John Congleton, known for his Grammy-winning work with St. Vincent, Swans, Explosions in the Sky, and Sigur Rós. Congleton introduced them to Swans drummer Thor Harris, who played on the album since the band had only arrived with guitar and piano demos. Compared to their first album, Ebony's voice is much more prominent, particularly on the track 'Bunny’s Blues,' where she creates the character of Bunny as a tool to subvert male domination.
