Lucky Lo, the pseudonym of the Swedish multi-instrumentalist and songwriter Lo Ersare, is like a game of hopscotch. He jumps between even and odd; the groovy and the unexpected. And like the multicolored chalk squares of the game, Lo and his band traverse the ground and subjects of light and dark colors, his honest and sincere voice.
Originally from Umeå, Sweden, Lo Ersare moved to Copenhagen in 2014 as a street musician, frequenting the canals of Christianshavn with his banjo, but his journey in folk music is far from his only inspiration. Lucky Lo's alt-pop is also inspired by his wide-ranging interests, from free improvisation to Bulgarian vocal music. Having also spent a lot of time in Japan, Lo is influenced by the vibrant pop music of his second home, as well as the DIY punk scene of his hometown.
