In 2020, during the "Thursday's Christmas" livestream, guitarists Frank Iero (My Chemical Romance) and Travis Stever (Coheed and Cambria), singer Anthony Green (Circa Survive), bassist Tim Payne (Thursday), and drummer Tucker Rule (Thursday) joined forces to form L.S. DUNES, a post-punk/hardcore supergroup.
Recorded in Philadelphia at the end of the pandemic, their debut album ‘Past Lives’ was produced by Will Yip (Turnstile, Circa Survive, Quicksand). The 11 tracks alternate between punk anthems and heavy explosions, as exemplified by the first single 'Permanent Rebellion' and its abrasive video. Between urgency and resilience, this album offers a collective and redemptive challenge in the face of an uncertain future.
“We didn't know if we were ever going to be able to play these songs together, or even play live again in front of an audience,” says Frank Iero, recalling the hardships experienced in recent years.
