Sensual, rhythmic, and hypnotic: LOWLY's new album, "Hebade," is unique and difficult to categorize. Yet, the Danish band describes their music as "noise-pop" thanks to the many synth and guitar touches that beautifully adorn the soft voices of Nanna Schannong and Soffie Viemose. "Heba," the album's title, refers to the frustration the band feels about Europe's inability to help war-torn countries and their inhabitants attempting to escape. Thus, while LOWLY is not a politically engaged band, its members still wish to offer emotionally rich tracks, presenting a delicate and melodic album.
