Lous and the Yakuza is only just beginning to change the face of French-language music. She arrived in 2020 with her debut album Gore, and its string of personal tracks, Dilemme (70 million streams), Tout est gore, and Solo (6 million streams), earning a nomination in the Revelation category at the Victoires de la musique the following year. Her second album, which Lous calls Iota, goes further in its desire to offer a singular sound. On it, she delivers eclectic music without frills or calculation. The album is a statement about love in a rare form: what remains once passion has left. The tracks recount bursts of feeling and disappointments, like in that childhood game where you pluck flower petals to describe your romantic state. (Je t’aime) A little, a lot, passionately, madly, not at all... an Iota. Lous retells the story of her relationships in a project partly produced by the faithful El Guincho (Rosalía), in all the incandescent intensity to which the wanderings of her heart lead her. Already hailed by critics, she was recently featured on the cover of Vogue France and in an interview in Les Inrocks.
