Louis Leo Prima (December 7, 1910 - August 24, 1978) was an American trumpeter, singer, entertainer, and bandleader. Although rooted in New Orleans jazz, swing music, and jump blues, Prima touched on various genres throughout his career. He made significant use of Italian music and language in his songs, blending elements of his Italian and Sicilian identity with jazz and swing music. Prima's most famous Italian song is "Angelina," named after his mother. To name just a few tracks from this double LP "Felicia No Capicia," the medley "Just a Gigolo - I Ain't Got Nobody" and "Buona Sera." Louis is supported by Keely Smith and Sam Butera & The Witnesses. Keely and Louis re-recorded That Old Black Magic, which was a Top 40 hit for two months, and they won a Grammy for this song.
