Armstrong Louis / And the Good Book

Description

A best-selling album, The Good Book is a collection of spirituals that Louis Armstrong recorded in February 1958. Featuring splendid arrangements by King Oliver, surrounded by his usual band as well as an organist and a group of ten singers, the trumpeter, touched by grace, majestically performs these hymns, which refer abundantly to the Old Testament.
