Los Wembler's is a legendary band from Iquitos, Peru. The five brothers who make up the group are pioneers of Amazonian Cumbia and played a crucial role in the Chicha movement of the 1970s. The band, which wrote and recorded classics like Sonido Amazonico and La danza del Petrolero, has been covered by groups such as Los Mirlos, Chicha Libre, Firewater, as well as many DJs. Los Wembler's from Iquitos is now releasing their new album Visión de Ayahuasca after nearly 25 years, bringing together in this record five decades of sound experimentation, rhythm combinations, and cultural activism to make us experience the theater of this corner of the world.
