Description

Los Retros, aka Mauri Tapia, is a 19-year-old young man who draws his musical inspirations from 70s and 80s American AOR, soft-rock crooners, and leftist pop from Central and South America. Mauri Tapia chose this name in tribute to the Chilean group Los Angeles Negros. It’s a claim to his Latin roots, as the Californian born in Oxnard (the city of Anderson .Paak) comes from a Mexican family. Just like Cuco, with whom he is currently opening and with whom he shares a similar lo-fi pop sensibility.
