Los Retros, alias Mauri Tapia, is a 19-year-old who draws his musical inspirations from 70s and 80s American AOR, soft-rock crooners, and left-field pop from Central and South America. Mauri Tapia chose this name in homage to the Chilean band Los Angeles Negros. It’s a claim to his Latin roots, as the Californian born in Oxnard (Anderson .Paak's hometown) comes from a Mexican family.
