Gates of gold

Description

After recently celebrating the band’s 40th anniversary, the multiple Grammy-winning Latino rockers Los Lobos are back with a new studio album titled Gates Of Gold. A new effort from the legendary band since a live album recorded 5 years ago in New York. This new album presents itself as a true saga through American literary culture in the footsteps of Steinbeck or Faulkner. Dynamic and poetic songwriting supported by eclectic compositions, like a locomotive whistling through deserts and prairies, it moves brilliantly from Rock to Country to Blues to Folk, not forgetting contributions from traditional Spanish and Mexican music, for a result that is pure Americana. The soundtrack of the “Barrio” (neighborhood) according to Los Lobos, an essential album for any star-spangled dreamer.
