Lord Of The Isles, the stage name of Scottish producer Neil McDonald, arrives on Beats In Space Records with Glisk Science, a singular collection of songs gleaned from his plethora of produced sounds. Glisk Science combines club-ready tracks with beatless excursions, initially played in various live settings over the past few years. The A-side tracks were created with the Amsterdam Dance Event and the Dekmantel podcast series in mind. The B-side, meanwhile, features two works written for a special presentation at the Sydney Opera House. On Glisk Science, Neil champions and documents the joys of live improvisation, allowing machines, environment, and a decade of writing and live performances to guide the experience.
