Psych, drone, acid-rock, post-rock, space-rock group Loop are back with their first studio album since 1990's 'A Gilded Eternity'.
LOOP formed in South London in the mid-1980s, blazing a trail with their potent blend of motorik rhythms and heavy guitar riffs, recording a trio of brilliant albums that blazed through the indie charts before imploding in 1990 after the release of their third album, A Gilded Eternity. LOOP was the sound of Suicide jamming with The Stooges aboard a spaceship built by Hawkwind and piloted by CAN.
Post-psychedelic and pre-shoegaze figureheads, even their closest contemporaries like Spacemen 3 and My Bloody Valentine never carved out as distinctive a niche as theirs.
In 2013, the band played their first comeback show and co-curated the All Tomorrow's Parties festival in Camber Sands, followed by a performance personally requested by Robert Smith of The Cure at the Meltdown Festival in 2018.
