From the innocent and joyful cries of children coming out of a schoolyard (Burial Tomb) to the violin of Tamara Goukassova (War and Black Dragonfish), Lonely Walk takes us into an apocalyptic universe. But not the one we dread. The one we await with excitement, keeping our eyes wide open and drinking a strange unapproved liquid. In the great game of influences, one might mention Clinic, Depeche Mode, or Sparks, but it’s better to look towards Australia to find cousins of Lonely Walk, specifically in the direction of Eddy Current Suppression Ring and Total Control.
