Viva Lone Justice

Description

Alt. Country invented Alt-Country, and this album is their first record in almost 40 years. It brings together the original members of the band, Maria McKee, Ryan Hedgecock, Marvin Etzioni and Don Heffington. In 1983, Lone Justice began playing in clubs in Los Angeles, with very rapid success. In 1984, they recorded for Geffen Records, and in 1985, the self-titled debut album was released. The LA Times awarded it the title of “Album of the Year.” The band performed with U2, Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers and Willie Nelson. In 1986, Lone Justice broke up and McKee, Hedgecock, Etzioni and Heffington began their solo careers. Today, a new Lone Justice album has been made, with the original band: Maria McKee, Ryan Hedgecock, Marvin Etzioni and the late Don Heffington. Guests include Tammy Rogers, David Ralicke, Greg Leisz and Benmont Tench.
