He produced 5 studio albums and 4 live albums, including the solo acoustic session Rainy Season Blues, before passing away in 2010 at the age of 49. Recorded in a small nightclub in the city, Bamako Nights conveys the dazzling stage power this artist possessed. In 1995, Bar Bozo was a unique destination where people could enjoy freedom, democracy having only been in place in the country for a year. The bar was reserved for the working class, who came to drink, dance, and enjoy music throughout the night. At the time, Lobi was emerging as a popular artist in Bamako.
