Lloyd Cole and The Commotions released 3 albums between 1984 and 1989: - Rattlesnakes, - Easy Pieces - Mainstream. Rattlesnakes and Easy Pieces are now considered pop masterpieces of the 80s, they have not aged a bit, and still sound as fresh as the day they were released. Collected Recordings 1983-1989 (5 CD + 1 DVD box set) includes the 3 remastered albums from the master tapes. CDs 4 and 5 are dedicated to B-Sides, remixes, outtakes, demos, and rarities. As for the DVD, it offers a compilation of 10 music videos and 8 TV appearances. 6 unreleased tracks have been found including 2 produced by Chris Thomas (The Beatles, Sex Pistols, Pink Floyd) and 2 produced by Stewart Copeland (The Police). This luxurious DVD format box set is accompanied by a 48-page booklet, 3 postcards, and a poster.
