The Danish sludge-post-hardcore band is back. Keyboardist Ketil G. Sejersen states about the third album: "As big fans of classic science fiction scores and video games, we are fascinated by how cinematic sound design can evoke certain emotions and let our imagination develop into an abstract narrative." Part of the production took place at a blacksmith's using various industrial machines. "A large part of the sound design in LLNN is initially created by field recordings, then by modulating the raw audio files in post-production," explains the keyboardist. A circular saw was notably recorded and modulated, and by layering these sounds with other recordings processed with industrial tools, the band aims to create strange yet thematically coherent soundscapes.
