The debut album from the pioneers of soulful electronic music, Little Dragon, originally released in 2007, was an unremarkable record because no one would have imagined that the future of soul music would come from Gothenburg, Sweden. But then Little Dragon arrived, this dreamy creature, straight from the sky. In hindsight, it's easy to see why some of the biggest musical luminaries in the world (Gorillaz...) rushed to work with them. Little Dragon returned with a spectacular second album in the fall of 2009, a thrilling electro-pop epic that Prince would be proud of! Machine Dreams, with its haunting hooks and gloriously contagious tunes. After touring relentlessly since the last album, Little Dragon found themselves very popular on the US West Coast. After appearing on the popular show "Morning Becomes Eclectic" on KCRW, their album became the most played on the station after Radiohead. That's no small feat for the little Swedish dragons, especially when the album was only released digitally! Since Machine Dreams, released in 2009 to critical acclaim, they haven't sat still, touring the world, and they subsequently released Ritual Union in 2011.
