DFA no doubt owes much of its existence to the incredible and indelible Liquid Liquid, so it is with great and humble honor that the label presents this maxi from the New York no wave legends, featuring more or less new versions of classic Liquid tracks. This torrential version of "Bellhead" was recorded and produced by James Murphy and Tim Goldsworthy in 2004 and originally appeared on DFA Compilation #2. The other side is an unreleased version of the track "Optimo," which was re-recorded by the Liquids in 2008, then remixed by Optimo (Espacio), the unmissable Glasgow duo who are named after the song in question.
