At the beginning of her career, she covered "Baby Lou," with lyrics by Gainsbourg and music by Chamfort. On her latest album, "Dites au prince charmant" (2006), she covers "Attends ou va-t'en," written by Serge for France Gall in 1964. And let's not forget that her "Banana Split" was once compared to the sultry "Sucettes." The spiritual son of Gainsbourg, Jacques Duvall wrote most of Lio's best songs, and she is never as moving as when she sings ballads.
