Norwegian producer Lindstrøm returns with his sixth album, Everyone Else is a Stranger, and the first since 2019. The album title is inspired by the original title of John Cassavetes' 1984 film Love Streams, and features four tracks of his disco epics and free-form cosmic journeys, spanning nearly 40 minutes. An album that, in many ways, summarizes his career and brings together his various musical paths into a single sound and album. While his previous record was slower and softer, Everyone Else is a Stranger sees Lindstrøm adopting a much more rhythmic and faster approach, with tracks that fit perfectly into the artist's live performances. That said, this album also contains the unexpected twists that have become the hallmark of the Norwegian producer, including recordings where he plays a cello and a cheap Chinese violin alongside the former Solina String Ensemble that he has used on nearly every track since his beginnings. Dubbed "the king of space disco" by the New Yorker, Lindstrøm has always made his obsessive work ethic a virtue, transforming his downtown studio into a true factory for producing monstrous tracks. He has collaborated with artists such as Todd Terje, Prins Thomas, and Todd Rundgren, and has remixed a large number of artists including LCD Soundsystem, Lana del Rey, Haim, Grizzly Bear, Flume, RAC, London Grammar, and many more.
