Formed in 2019 in Chicago, Lifeguard is composed of the young Asher Case (bass, vocals), Isaac Lowenstein (drums, percussion), and Kai Slater (guitar, vocals). Originally, Lifeguard was a punk band. Their music is noisy and energetic, visceral and hypnotic. Songs and sounds are held to the same standards; both must be mastered. They are also very prolific. In just three years, Lifeguard has released an album, two EPs, and two singles, filled with chaos, melodies, and melancholy. 'Crowd Can Talk/Dressed In Trenches' compiles two of Lifeguard's EPs.
